The International capacity building will be held at the UNESCO Category II-centre international Hydroinformatics Centre (CIH), Av. Tancredo Neves, 6731 - Porto Belo, Foz do Iguaçu - PR, 85856-970, Brazil.

The Hydroinformatics International Center is a binational category center of the UNESCO, results of a partnership between ITAIPU Binacional, Itaipu Technological Park and International Hydrological Programme (IHP) of UNESCO. Reference on land management applied in Hydroinformatics, CIH treats the water theme through a broad perspective involving technology, energy and environment. 

The CIH will host the remote sensing workshop in Itaipu Technological Park (PTI) – a park with 75,54 hectares hectares housed in the old rooms of the workers who built Itaipu Dam.

Created by Itaipu Binacional, the PTI is installed in Foz do Iguaçu, city of the Iguaçu Falls, one of the 7 Wonders of Nature. Foz do Iguaçu is located in a strategic region, on the border with Argentina and Paraguay, at the meeting point of the Iguaçu and Paraná rivers.
