Training Andean Hydrology A professional training on Andean Hydrology was held in Santiagode Chile from the 17 to 20 November 2015, to better understand the role of the Andean climate and hydrology for water management. During the training, different monitoring, assessment and prediction tools were introduced to 75 participants from 10 different countries. Read more – Final meeting report

 

Groundwater Drought Indicators In order to provide a better understanding of groundwater monitoring and early warning capacities, the workshop “Supporting Effective Drought Risk Management in Vulnerable Catchments of Chile” was organized in Santiago de Chile on 9-11 November 2015. Read more

Institutional Capacity Building

A second training on drought monitoring and drought vulnerability assessment was held in Birmingham and London (UK) in March 2016 with the goal to strengthen drought management and policy in Chile, supported by the British Council and the Chilean Ministry of Agriculture. More
