Since its implementation, the Water Center for Arid and Semi-Arid Latin America and the Caribbean (CAZALAC) has referred in its Operational Plan to carry out a series of projects to provide more and better tools and knowledge to support management water resources in the region.
This has the support of the International Hydrological Programme (IHP) of UNESCO and the Government of Flanders, and also boasts the participation of the National Committees and Focal Points PHI LAC Region, which gave its approval for the creation of the Centre and the activities that should develop action was ratified at the 16th session of the IHP Intergovernmental Committee (Paris, September, 2004).
